Finding Peace, Happiness, and Dreams in a World of Terror and Violence

How can we continue to live our day to day lives in peace and happiness when acts of violence could happen to any of us anytime, anywhere? At the end of the day, no amount of preparation, security, laws, plans or other actions can or will prevent all such events. Yes, we must be prepared, but even more importantly we need to dream and work for long term solutions.

The best thing we can do today to feel good while trying to be safe is to live a life of integrity and service to the greatest extent possible, as much as each of our individual lives allows.

My greatest concern is for the children, all of the children, but mostly so for the ones in their formative years – we are the only ones that can help them navigate their critical evolutionary years. Their happiness, success, spirt, compassion, love, trust, loyalty, friendliness, kindness, bravery, critical thinking skills, and morals – all the positive things depend on us. Whether we have children of our own or not, matters not, we are all their living examples. We owe it to them and to their children to be our best, to live without fear. To do this is to have lived with a personal purpose, relevance, and fulfilment no matter the number of years we live.

So what’s the answer?

We owe it to ourselves to start with BIG dreams – this is number one. While you are dreaming keep a balanced life in mind; material and financial, the kind of work that inspires you, your health and recreational activities, your relationships (remember you are the friends you keep), and how you want to be remembered. Dreams require goals – so make your goals, and give up all your excuses (you don’t need them). In fact visualizing your goals everyday will help immensely – so do it – this is your second step. Your next step is to take action, and since you will be stepping into new territory, ask for help – get the information that each next step requires along the way. You may not succeed immediately, that’s ok, but don’t stop, persevere one step after another. We can all do this, no matter who, what, where, when, how old, how young, what color, what height….and the world will be a better place with less terrorism and less violence for the children, and for each of us.

If you and I are not connected, please ask, or please follow me.

I promise I will do my best to make you think and even better to inspire.

Wishing you Peace, Happiness, and BIG Dreams, Felix
